Attorney General Pam Bondi demanded “severe accountability” from the University of California at Los Angeles on Tuesday after the Justice Department found the university violated federal civil rights laws by failing to stop antisemitic harassment on campus.

The University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA) has agreed to a permanent court order forbidding campus antisemitism and a $6.13 million settlement after a number of discrimination complaints were filed against the school by Jewish students.

The U.S. Justice Department separately said UCLA failed to protect Jewish and Israeli students from harassment and abuse after the Hamas attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
