Disney+ has been a great place for many of the studio’s top franchises to grow, as has been the case with both Marvel and Star Wars. However, what has worked for live-action projects hasn’t been quite as successful in animation.

Disney+ has shelved 'Tiana,' a series based on 'The Princess and the Frog,' amid a shift in thinking around long-form animated content for streaming.

More than four years after it was announced, Disney has shut down Tiana, the animated spinoff series from "The Princess and the Frog."
