In central Kerr County, up to 10 inches of rain inundated the area, causing the Guadalupe River to swell and overflow its banks.

The authorities confirmed that people had died as a result of the flooding along the Guadalupe River, and urged those living near the river to seek higher ground immediately.

Parts of Central Texas are experiencing what officials described as a “catastrophic flooding event,” where fatalities have been confirmed.
