A LEGO replica of the San Diego Convention Center, “Star Wars” costumes and an inflatable version of Liam Neeson were among the sightings on Wednesday.

City leaders will officially kick off the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con International Wednesday at the San Diego Convention Center, ushering in five days of comics, games, movies and art.

Disney-owned properties will dominate Hall H with two of its most anticipated upcoming movies, and big stars Jared Leto, Elle Fanning, Jeff Bridges and Evan Peters are expected for “Predator: Badlands” and “Tron: Ares.”

Wednesday marked the official kick-off to Comic-Con with the annual preview night events at the San Diego Convention Center.

Mayor Todd Gloria, joined by local leaders, officially kicked off San Diego Comic-Con on Wednesday at the San Diego Convention Center, marking the start of several days of cosplay, comics, creativity—and a major economic boom for the region.

“Tron” has never been in the top tier of sci-fi franchises. The original 1982 film starring Bridges as Kevin Flynn, a man sucked into a computer vortex known as the Grid, was admired for its ground-breaking concept and effects, and was a modest hit with moderately good reviews.
