The Bengals coach sent Hendrickson texts on Monday about OTAs, prompting the player to release a public statement about the team's lack of communication.

"No communication has taken place between my camp and the organization post-draft," Hendrickson said to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "The offers prior to the draft did not reflect the vision we shared and were promised last offseason if I continued to play at a high level.

While doing so, Hendrickson revealed that one of the biggest reasons for his surprise appearance and 20-plus-minute media session was a text message from Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. Hendrickson told reporters that a text message from Taylor warning him about possible fines for missing mandatory camp in a few weeks played a big role.
