Former UConn women’s basketball stars Sue Bird and Maya Moore were among a group named as finalists on Friday for the Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The final class will be announced

Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, the gold medal-winning 2008 U.S. Olympic Team, as well as women's stars Sue Bird, Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles, are among the finalists for this year's Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class.

Anthony is a 10-time All-Star with the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks who scored more than 28,000 points in his 19-year pro career.
