A man fatally shot a 23-year-old Mexican TikTok influencer while she was livestreaming on May 13, and investigators are looking at her killing as a femicide case.

A Mexican social media influencer was shot dead during a live stream on TikTok, where she had tens of thousands of followers, authorities said Wednesday.

Paramedics pronounced Marquez dead at the scene, and police are actively searching for the gunman, who is still at large.
