The New York Rangers agreed to a JT Miller trade during the 2024-25 NHL season, acquiring the star forward from the Vancouver Canucks. On Tuesday, the Rangers officially satisfied the terms of the deal by sending a pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins, per hockey insider Pierre LeBrun.

The Canucks then flipped that pick to the Penguins in a trade in which Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor were dealt to Vancouver in exchange for Danton Heinen, Vincent DeSharnais, Melvin Fernstrom and that same conditional first-round pick from the Rangers.

The Rangers are sending their first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft to the Pittsburgh Penguins, via the Vancouver Canucks, to complete January's trade for J.T. Miller.
