Jamir Watkins led FSU with 26 points on 7/12 shooting, followed by Jerry Deng's 16 points on 6/8 shooting. The offense played well, shooting 54% from the floor and 10/20 from three, and only seven turnovers, yet they still lost by 11.

The North Carolina Tar Heels stayed on task in their push to make the NCAA Tournament, running their winning streak to four in a row with a win over the Florida State Seminoles.

Despite that disadvantage, UNC out-rebounded Florida State 35-22 as they controlled the boards for the game and gave themselves second chances while limiting the Seminoles' chances. That included seven rebounds from Ven-Allen Lubin and five from Jae'Lyn Withers, both continuing their hot play.
