Severe weather tore through Southwest and Central Ohio on Sunday night, damaging homes, closing at least one school district and sending at least one child to the hospital in Columbus. At least three tornadoes touched down Sunday night in Butler and Warren counties, National Weather Service officials confirmed Monday afternoon.
The main threats with Wednesday’s storms are damaging winds, heavy rain, large hail, and possible tornadoes, the FOX19 NOW First Alert Weather Team says. "While the chance of a major tornado, EF3 or stronger, is fairly low, it cannot be ruled out," Chief Meterologist Steve Horstmeyer says.
The National Weather Service says a "multi-day catastrophic and potentially historic" storm is expected to impact multiple states beginning on Wednesday.
