ATLANTA — Thousands of people are expected to participate in protests across north Georgia on Saturday. Organizers are planning nearly two dozen protests all across metro Atlanta and north Georgia as part of the nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations against President Donald Trump and his policies.

Another wave of protests is set to take place across Georgia this weekend as part of a national day of action against the Trump administration.

Protesters in Georgia are planning a day of defiance against Trump, with events in Atlanta and other cities nationwide.

More than 5,000 people are expected to crowd into Liberty Plaza on Saturday morning as part of the demonstration.

With mass protests over the Trump administration’s policies set to take place around the country Saturday, Georgia’s leaders say they will be prepared if violent elements overtake peaceful protests. But organizers of the planned “No Kings” event in Atlanta say they’ve taken every step to ensure a morning of peaceful demonstration.

Organizers have planned demonstrations in cities and towns across the country on the same day as President Trump’s parade in Washington to celebrate the Army.

The Good Life City is one of the 30 cities that organizers plan to hold a “No Kings” protest in on Saturday, June 14. South Georgia cities of Valdosta and Douglas will also have protests, according to our sister station Atlanta News First (ANF).
