While Nintendo's Switch 2 upgrades haven't had the most positive reception, some free options are a great way to get more out of your current library.

Super Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and a bunch of other popular Nintendo games are getting upgrades to help them run better on Switch 2. And unlike some other Switch 2 versions, these improvements won’t require fans to spend more money.

Most of the games currently listed will receive improvements to optimize their display for the Nintendo Switch 2’s screen and higher resolution TVs. Some, like Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, will get boosts to their frame rates, and others, like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom, will receive HDR support.
